Funksion is a 9-piece party band consisting of a tight 4-piece rhythm section, blazing 3-piece horn section, along with energetic male and female vocalists, who perform music by some of the best Funk, Soul, Rock, Blues, and Jazz groups from the past 40 years. Funksion has been performing for the past 5 years, and includes some of the most talented musicians in Houston, each with over 20 years experience. We perform music that is technically challenging, utilizes the instrumentation, is fun to play, and a joy to experience. Some of the groups covered include Tower of Power, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, etc. We'll be laying down the grooves, belting out the horn charts, and filling your world with a wall of sound that is the best 9-piece band in Houston...Funksion.
